    Data protection

    1. Collecting and processing data

Everyone at POLO Expressversand GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously, and when we collect, process and use it, we adhere strictly to the German Federal Data Protection Act and the German Teleservices Data Protection Act.

It is always possible to visit our web site without leaving any personal data. On our web site, we only collect personal data when necessary, for example if you place an order, use the "My POLO" section or the forum, enter a competition or contact us.

    2. Protecting you personal data

The protection and security of the data are extremely important to us. That is why we use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) process to encrypt your data when you use the Online Shop. It is the most secure and widely used process on the Internet, and is always used when sensitive data is being sent.

    3. Using and passing on personal data

We may pass personal data – collected during the ordering process or for sending catalogues and our latest offers – to associated companies, which will of course treat the data as confidential. In order to run our own credit checks, we may obtain credit information from SCHUFA, 65201 Wiesbaden (based on mathematical-statistical methods). Apart from the above, your data will not be passed to any third parties.

If you are registered in our system, our latest offers and other information about POLO will be automatically delivered to your home conveniently and free of charge. If you no longer wish to use this service, please contact us at the address below.

If you are using our free newsletter services, you can manage your subscription in the "My POLO" section or here. You can withdraw your agreement to receive the newsletter in writing at any time by contacting the address below, or you can remove yourself from the list here.

The information generated by the cookie about the way you use the web site (including your IP address) is sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored. Google will use this information to analyse the way you use the web site, to generate reports about web site activity for the web site operator, and to provide other services related to web site usage and Internet usage. Google may also pass the information to third parties if this is required by law or if the third parties are processing the data under contract by Google. Google will never combine your IP address with other data from Google services.
